General Reports:
Payroll Advice
The Payroll Advice is sent to the designated Payroll Officer each time an employee
begins salary packaging or whenever there is a change to a package that alters the
employee’s future salary deductions. This advice specifies the amount to be deducted
pre-tax and post-tax (if applicable) from the employee’s salary, and specifies any
budgeted FBT liability to be deducted (if any).
Bank Reconciliation*
This comprehensive Bank Reconciliation Report details the current balance in the
employer account, the sub-balance of each individual employee, and reconciles all
the transactions for the period (including employees’ individual payment transactions).
This offers full transparency for the employer to review all incoming and outgoing
funds from their salary packaging account.
Goods & Services Tax (GST)/ Input Tax Credit (ITC) Report*
The GST Report is issued on a monthly basis. It summarises on a per employee basis,
the Input Tax Credits that the employer is eligible to claim for any salary packaged
benefits paid in the previous month. The employer can claim and remit Input Tax
Credits as a lump sum, as Southgate automatically tracks and reconciles these into
each individual employee’s salary packaging account.
*These reports are available within the Online Portal
for employers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Fringe Benefit Reports:

A Fringe Benefit Report will be issued at the end of the year. It includes all information
that an employer requires to complete their FBT Return, presented in a user-friendly
format with data displayed under the same labels as used by the ATO for easy processing.
Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) Liability Report
An FBT Liability Report summarises the FBT liability arising through the administration
of the employee’s salary package, showing the taxable value, grossed-up taxable
value and total FBT liability on a per employee basis.
Taxable Value Report
The Taxable Value Report further breaks down the total taxable value on a per employee
basis into the type of fringe benefit provided e.g. motor vehicle expenses and expense
payments etc.
Reportable Fringe Benefits Amount (RFBA) Report
The RFBA report summarises the Reportable Fringe Benefits Amount to be included
on an employee’s annual Payment Summary. Where an employee does not incur an FBT
